This page shows various pictures to help you understand how our lasers work on various skin issues
This first picture shows how the IPL and Picolaser can both clear age and sun damaged skin such as freckles, spots and yellowish discolored skin.
Next picture shows how the 1064 Pico Laser combined with microneedling (dermapen) affect skin from deeper below and the surface to cause skin cells to produce more collagen. Increasing collagen can make skin look more full, younger and make acne scars and lines less noticeable.
Normally this would be 2 appointments per month for 3 months to cause skin to produce more collagen. After 3 months reduce to once per month or every two months to maintain higher levels of collagen., usually for face but can also be for other areas of body.
The next picture shows how the IPL and Pico Laser combined can kill bacteria that causes acne. And, clear & improve red and dark acne marks. The IPL kills the bacteria whole the 1064 Picolaser affects tissue so clogged pores can open and clear.
And, the IPL and Picolaser can also clear the color in red or dark acne spots. The Pico laser with Microneedling can increase collagen which makes skin more full. This can make acne scars less noticeable.
The next picture shows how a Pico laser with skin lightening cream can fade and improve Melasma.
Note: When skin lightening cream is used by itself the results are limited because creams cannot affect the deeper skin layers where Melasma is created.
Also, when purchasing skin lightening cream it is critical to become educated regarding the ingredients. You must use cream that has labortory tested and proven ingredients to lighten melanin in skin that has the melasma.
Melasma is caused my skin cells deep in the skin that over-produce melanin. This causes the darker color or blotchy skin of the melasma.
The 1064 Pico laser can pass through the skin so not affecting the surface. This is like a laser passing through a boat to affect the water underneath the boat. Same with Melasma. The 1064 laser can heat skin cells where the melasma is created. Heating causes micro-damage which can cause the cells to slow the production of melanin which causes the melasma.
A risk or problem with Melasma is if going in sun, hot weather or too much power with a laser can cause these skin cells to be even more sensitive so they make even more melanin which makes the melasma worse.
The correct scientific method is to use the 1064 pico laser with low power so it passes through the skin surface. At this low power the laser causes some heat in the cells deep in the skin where melasma is created.
The plan is to slowly cause these skin cells to reduce production of melanin over 2 to 3 months of bi-weekly appointments.
At the same time using a high quality skin lightening cream can affect the melasma at the skin surface.
Melasma never 100% disappears. The plan is to combine the 1064 pico laser with proper quality skin lightening cream to slowly fade the melasma color so it becomes less noticeable.
Same as coloring hair where this must be repeated every 1 or 2 months. Keeping melasma under control or causing skin to produce more collagen and look younger, these skin issues require ongoing treatment or else they eventually revert back to the beginning.
This final picture shows how the black carbon facial mask works. The black carbon cream is applied to the face and dries. The carbon penetrates into the pores.
The 1320 Pico Laser hits the black carbon causing it to vaporize. As this happens the black carbon extracts the oils and dirt while also causing pores to shrink.
The result is a deeper clean tan is possible with normal facials.
